Kimley-Horn Content Strategist in Raleigh, North Carolina

Overview

Kimley-Horn’s Marcom team is seeking a talented Content Strategist to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy focused on Subject Matter Expertise (SME). This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marcom team lead, firm marketing leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and marketing teams to identify key content themes and topics.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand industry trends and audience needs.

  • Develop content calendars and editorial plans, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality content.

  • Work closely with SMEs, marketing teams, writers, and designers to create engaging content across various formats (e.g., blog posts, case studies, white papers, infographics).

  • Manage the content publishing process, collaborating with the communications team.

  • Analyze content performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in content marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in content strategy, marketing communications, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute content plans aligned with business objectives.

  • Strong understanding of content marketing best practices, including SEO and content promotion.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.

  • Experience working with SMEs to translate complex technical information into clear and concise communication.

  • Proficient in content management systems (CMS) and project management tools.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A collaborative spirit and a desire to work cross-functionally.

  • Experience in the AEC industry, or working for a B2B or professional services organization.

  • A strong understanding of social media marketing and content promotion strategies.
