Overview
Kimley-Horn's Oakland office is seeking a Transportation PlannerorEngineer with 2+years ofpost-collegeexperience to join their Transitand Complete Streetsteam! This position is in-person/in-office.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work with our Multi-Modal Transportation team performing a variety of transportation-related planning and conceptual design tasks including transportation analyses, complete streets studies, mobility analyses, and transit analyses, and development of public outreach materials and strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Transportation, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering
Registered P.E. or T.E. in the state of CA (or the interest and ability to obtain)
At least 2 year of directly relatedfull-timeexperience
Experience preparingtechnical materials such as transit analyses,traffic studies,parking studies, complete streets assessments, safety studies,multi-modal planning,site circulation and access studies, and other various transportation planning and design activities.
Demonstrated experienceworking on a team.
ProficiencyinGIS and Excel
Exposure to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign,Synchro/SimTraffic, Vistro, VISSIM,Sidra,AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software desired.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000
