Kimley-Horn Transportation and Traffic Engineer in Durham, North Carolina
Overview
Our Durham, NC office is looking for a Civil E.I.T. or P.E. with 3+ years of experience to join our Transportation Planning and Traffic Operations team.
Responsibilities
Ideal candidates will have experience in traffic operations, studies, and analysis as well as microsimulation. The person selected must have a willingness to perform general civil engineering tasks supporting various senior project managers as required.
Qualifications
3 or more years of relevant experience
Have a BS or MS from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
EIT or PE License
Proficiency with Synchro and other related transportation engineering programs/software such as Transmodeler, VISSIM, HCS, etc.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong technical writing skills Sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Ability to work independently and as a team
