Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for an experiened Civil Roadway Designer with 10+ years of experience to join our team in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities
The person hired for this role will be responsible for producing plan sets for Roadway Design projects, QA/QC of drawings, Feasability studies, project and task management, mentoring junior staff, and other tasks as needed. We are looking for someone who is experienced with programs such as MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer. Ideal candidates will help with establishing and improving CAD standards, as well as always looking for ways to improve efficiency in these programs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related design/engineering field is preferred.
Proficiency with MicroStation and/or ORD
10+ years relevant design experience with a civil engineering consulting firm
Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
Ability to work independently and with a team
